Preview of Week Ending (01/09)

World History 9 W

Monday: Students will wrap up their discussion of the Reformation with the creation of cause & effect timelines. If time permits, we will discuss the timelines. I will pass back all classwork in my possession and we will begin discussing what to expect on the midterm examination.

Wednesday: I will present direct instruction on the Catholic Counter-Reformation. This will be followed by a QUIZ on that content. I will make available all the need 2 know sheets, so that students can begin preparation for the midterm.

Friday: Review day. Students will receive instructions on studying for terminology using flashcards and double-column sheets. Students will have time to create cards and to practice using some flashcard games.

World History 9 W HON

Monday: Team presentations on the Reformation are due. This will be followed with class discussion. Students will receive a rubric for the Renaissance, Reformation, and Counter-Reformation Expository Essay, which will be due next week.

Friday: Class will begin with a short (30 min) Socratic Seminar on the Renaissance, Reformation, & Counter-Reformation. This will be followed by instructions for studying terminology using flashcards and double-column sheets. Students should complete their expository essays over the weekend.
